After 50 years with White’s Lanes, Ray has retired

NILES - Brandywine's varsity softball team brought home the championship win at Saturday's Mattawan Tournament.
In the first game the Bobcats faced Paw Paw and took the 6-4 win.
Kelli Zache was the winnng pitcher against Kristy Stratton.
Top hitters for Brandywine were Dee Echevarria with two singles, a double and a RBI and Kendra Zache with three singles and two RBIs.
The Lady Cats snagged the 4-2 win in the second game against St. Joe.
Zache was again the winning pitcher against Missy Blake.
Top hitters in the second game for Brandywine were Ashley Antus with two singles and Connie Brant with a double and two RBIs.
In the championship game, the Bobcats got a six run win over the host of the tournament, Mattawan 7-1.
Zache, now 9-3, was the winning pitcher over Amy Stuedemann.
Top hitters were Zache with a double, Amanda Grice with two singles, Angela Newman with two singles and Kristina Ford with a single, double and two RBIs.
Brandywine will travel to Centreville tonight for a non-conference doubleheader set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
