NILES - The death of former Niles resident, William Henry Hoskin, 49, is being investigated as a homicide by the Houston Police Department in Houston, Texas as of April 20.
According to a news release from the Houston Police Department, "officers were doing a welfare check, and the complainant was discovered beaten to death in his apartment."
Hoskin appeared to have suffered blunt trauma to the head.
Houston homicide officers Sgt. T. J. McCorvey and Officer R. P. Martinez, the chief investigators in the case, were unavailable for comment.
