Ring Lardner track takes first place

NILES - On Wednesday night the Ring Lardner track team participated in the Edwardsburg relays and both the boys and the girls took home first place trophies at the event.
The teams competed against nine other teams from the area and surprised everyone when they won the meet.
The team had six students missing due to grades, four injuries and one illness all to important team members.
Nate Allison, Zach Payne, Bradley Thomas, Mcade Reese, Kyler Shearer, Cameron Sly, Justin Williams and Asaad Ali all led the boys with unbelievable efforts.
Both Allison and Shearer had personal bests in the races resulting in great runs.
Ali, Thomas and Williams all had personal bests in their respective field events.
Meagan Horn, Alyssa Pingel, Madie Rodts, Sarah Tyler, Kaitlyn Touhey, Sara Crabtree, Nellie Coquillard, Ashley Allison, Meriah Merritt, Kaleigh Hill, Kadijah Abdullah, Liz Van DenHeede dominated the meet winning firsts in five of 10 events.
The track team's next home meet will be next Friday at Niles High School where 10 teams will compete. Meet time is set for 4 p.m.
