Lady Rangers sweep meet

The host Lady Rangers swept a Lakeland Conference track meet Wednesday afternoon from visiting Brandywine and Buchanan.
Cassopolis won the girl's portion of the meet against Brandywine 75-32 and against Buchanan 84-27.
The Rangers were swept in the boy's portion of the meet, losing to Brandywine 93-33 and losing to Buchanan 77-43.
Brandywine split with Buchanan, winning the boy's meet 87-41 and losing the girl's meet 52-48.
Cassopolis' Kelsey Gordon who won the high jump, 100-meter hurdles (20.15), 400-meter dash (1:05.19) and was a member of the winning 1,600-meter relay team.
Michelle James won three events as she took the shot put (27-10), long jump (12-7.5) and 100-meters (13.85).
Cassopolis also won the 400-meter relay.
The 400-meter relay team consisted of Kyra Luckey, Monique Harris, Ashton Stewart and Fortune Boykins. The 1,600-meter relay team was made up of Sara McIntyre, Gordon, Boykins and Dee Dee Hawkins.
McIntyre was a double winner as she not only was a member of the relay team, but won the 1,600-meters (6:26.04). Boykins was a triple winner as she also took the top spot in the 200-meters (30.62).
Hawkins was a double winner as she also won the 800-meters (2:53.70).
Cassopolis' Robin Danzy won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 57.32.
Against Buchanan, Harris won the discus (79-4).
In the boy's portion of the meet, E.J. Harris won the 100-meters (11.72), Richard Brown won the 400-meters (56.32) and A.J. Ballard won the 300-meters hurdles (48.37).
The Rangers also won the 400- and 800-meter relay team. The teams consisted of Harris, Ballard, Rayan Anderson and Demyrio Harris. The 400-meter relay team ran 48.24 and the 800-meter team ran 1:40.75.
