Eddies thinclads perform well

The Edwardsburg boys' and girls' track teams swept a Lakeland Conference meet on Wednesday, April 13 at Bridgman High School.
The Lady Eddies won 83-43 against Bridgman and 60-46 against Coloma.
Winning events for Edwardsburg against Bridgman were Ricquelle Allemon in the long jump (15-4), Erin Eggleston in the 100-meters hurdles and 300-meter hurdles (18.5/57.42) and Evie Tafunai in the 100- and 200-meters (13.6/29.3).
Edwardsburg also won the 3,200-, 800-, 400- and 1,600-meter relays. No names were given for the winning teams.
Finishing second were Kailee Checkley (shot put), Stacey Miller (discus), Stephanie Koontz (high jump/long jump), Jami Pickrell (100 hurdles), Angie Bronicki (800-, 3,200-meters), Ricquelle Allemon (400-meters), Megan Drone (800-meters), Jenny Sutherland (200-meters).
Taking third were Dani Giles (shot put), Koontz (discus), Lindy Allemon (100 hurdles), Ricquelle Allemon (100-meters), Jackie O'Connor (1,600-meters), Katie Kunst (400-meters), Julie Harness (800-meters) and Ricquelle Allemon (200-meters).
Winning events against Coloma were Koontz (high jump), Allemon (long jump), Tafunai (100-meters), Bronicki (1,600-, 3,200-meters) and Drone (800-meters).
Finishing second were Checkley, Miller, Koontz,. Eggleston (2), O'Connor, Allemon, Harness, Tafunai and Sara Platz.
Taking third were Giles, Koontz, Allemon, Platz, Kathy Stewart and Katelin Bowman.
Winning events for the boys were Doug Shuttleworth in the high jump (not available), David Daniels in the long jump and 300-meter hurdles (not available/45.6), Price in the 100-meters (11.73) and James Greenfield in in the 1,600- and 3,200-meters (5:08/not available).
Edwardsburg also won the 3,200-, 400- and 1,600-meters. No names were available for the winning teams.
Taking second were Craig Blume (shot put/discus), Shuttleworth (long jump/110-meter hurdles), Derek Eden (100- and 200-meters), Price (400-meters) and Hall (800-meters).
Taking third were Kevin Stack (discus), Price (long jump), Daniels (110-meter hurdles), Price (400-meters), Hall (300 hurdles) and Randy York (200-meters).
Winning events against Coloma were Daniels (long jump/300 hurdles), Price (100-meters), Greenfield (1,600-, 3,200-meters) and Jake Roberts (800-meters).
Finishing second were Shuttleworth (2), Eden (2), Price and Hall. Taking third were Joe White, Greenfield (2), Hall (2), Shuttleworth, Daniels, Ryan Bringedahl and Price.
