Buchanan tennis teams wins close match

EDWARDSBURG - It was a close match, but the Buchanan tennis team was able to add another win to its record Wednesday afternoon.
Despite losing three out of four singles flights, the visiting Buchanan Bucks defeated Edwardsburg Wednesday afternoon, 5-3.
Buchanan swept the doubles flights to remain undefeated on the season.
Brad Burns was the lone Buchanan singles player to pick up a victory on Wednesday, Burns defeated Nate Harness at No. 3 singles, 6-4 and 6-4.
Korey Camp and Andrew Gordon defeated Andrew Marbach and Mitch Parsons at No. 1 doubles, 6-3 and 6-0, while David Wright and Dillon Bailey defeated Justin Praklet and Matt Marbach at No. 2 doubles, 6-0 and 6-2.
Andrew Scoggin and Josh Niven defeated Joel Booker and Tom Blunier at No. 3 doulbes, 6-1 and 6-3. At No. 4 doubles, Justin Lovelady and Taylor Oake defeated Andy Breslin and Tyler Kendle, 6-1 and 6-1, to give the Bucks the victory.
Edwardsburg is now 2-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the Lakeland Conference.
Buchanan is now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the league.
