WHERE: Niles Fire Department, 1345 E. Main St., Niles
BACKGROUND: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $4.4 million to widen 1.4 miles of M-51 from US-12 Business Route to the city limits of Niles. Work also includes curb and gutter, signal upgrades and drainage improvements. In addition, MDOT will resurface one mile of M-51 from the city limits of Niles to south of Pucker Street.
Motorists and residents are encouraged to attend anytime throughout the meeting to discuss the upcoming construction with MDOT staff.
