NILES - Saturday will be a busy day for local baseball and softball teams in the area as Niles, Brandywine and Buchanan all will be involved in tournaments.
The Niles baseball team will be traveling to the South Bend Adams Invitational in hopes of repeating last year's tournment win.

Tournament time is set to begin at 10 a.m. (Michigan time).
The Brandywine softball team will travel to the Penn tournament on Saturday, which is set to begin at 10 a.m.
Last year the Bobcats defeated Lafayette Jefferson in the first round 3-2, but fell to Penn 3-1 and Merrillville 1-0. Brandywine is 1-1 on the season. No further results were available at press time from Thursday's games.
Nicki McGowen, who graduated last year, became just the 15th player in Michigan histroy to earn 100 career pitching victories at the tournament.
Brandywine and Buchanan baseball will both attend the Bronson Tournament on Saturday. The Bobcats play at 10 a.m. and the Bucks play at 9 a.m.
The tournament provided the first win of the season last year for Brandywine and it hopes to do the same this year as they have a 0-4 record.
The two teams met in the first round and the Bobcats came out on top of Buchanan with a 4-2 win, but suffered a 12-11 setback in nine innings against Edwardsburg in the championship game.
