CASSOPOLIS - Following the parade of students on the Ross Beatty High School stage, who received praise for their recent accomplishments, the Cassopolis School Board could not agreed on its next round of budget cuts, tabling the matter.
A special meeting was to be held at Red Brick School on Wednesday evening after the Vigilant's press time.
Included in receiving praise for their participation and success were team members for the county Spelling Bee, Math-a-Rama, Science Olympiad, State Wrestling Tournament, and FFA State Convention.
A list of budget cuts recommended by Superintendent William Trujillo were questioned by board member Gary Solloway. His motion to add four addition cuts to the list failed and then the board tabled making a final decision on the rest of the list.
The board did hire Andy Hubbard as the new Head Varsity Football.
Also the Drivers Education proposal was approved which sets tuition at $275 for in district students and $325 for out-of-district. Segment 2 would cost $30.
