NEW BUFFALO - Brandywine didn't exactly open up it season the way it wanted to.
The Bobcats traveled to New Buffalo for their first non-conference game of the season and suffered a 6-2 loss.
The Bison scored their first four runs in the first inning of the game and scored two more in the third.
Brandywine didn't pull off its two runs until the fifth inning when Josh Atwood collected two RBIs to drive in the base runners.
Noah Udell and Jake Harris also collected hits in their first varsity game.
Kory Bridges, who recently signed to play at Kalamazoo Valley next year, and Zach Bennett both combined to strike out 13 New Buffalo batters.
The Bobcats, now 0-1, will travel across town to Thomas Stadium on Friday to face Niles in another non-conference game set to begin at 4 p.m.
