KALAMAZOO - Though the Cedar Lane basketball team ended its season Thursday with a 66-49 loss, coach Jim Barnhart isn't too upset.
This is the first year Cedar Lane has ever had a sports program at its school and Barnhart said it was all worth it.
Cedar Lane lost to Barclay-Hills Gold in the first round of tournament play and ends its season with a 3-5 record.
Jason Landstrom led the team with 17 points. Dan McLemore had 12 and Wyatt Hickey had 11. Antonie Gray had seven points and Jason Joseph ended with two for Cedar Lane.
This is not the end of sports for Cedar Lane. The school will continue to keep sports in its program and is trying to get involved in the softball program which is also held in Kalamazoo.
