Niles man injured in Howard rollover

CASSOPOLIS - A Niles man was injured in Howard Township Friday afternoon when his vehicle, southbound on M-51, left the highway near White Street and flipped into some trees.
Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reported his deputies investigated the 1:37 p.m. mishap Feb. 25 from which Larry Dietrich, 65, of Niles, was transported to Lakeland Hospital, Niles, by SMCAS (Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service) for treatment of his injuries.
He was reported in stable condition.
Dietrich was using his safety belt. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Assisting on the scene were Howard Township Fire and Rescue, Niles Fire and Rescue, Pokagon Fire, SMCAS, Michigan State Police and Silver Creek Township.
This incident remains under investigation.
