Bank robbed in Marcellus

Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office is investigating a bank robbery that occurred in the village of Marcellus.
On Tuesday, Feb. 22, at approximately 8:20 a.m., an unknown assailant committed a bank robbery at the drive-up window of the G. W. Jones Bank, 115 W. Main St., Marcellus.
The robber forced entry into the drive-up building, striking the bank employee, who was knocked to the ground.
The robber removed an undisclosed amount of cash.
The injured employee was transported to Lake View Hospital in Paw Paw by Van Buren Emergency Medical Services (VBEMS), where she was treated and released.
Investigation by the Cass County Sheriff's Office and the FBI in St. Joseph continues.
