The sun shines on Niles

NILES - The shining sun does much to give people hope that winter will soon come to an end.
On Tuesday, Niles residents took full advantage of the fact that the sun was out and shining.
Grzegorek was working in Niles Niles on Tuesday, enjoying the shining sun.
Beverly Rowe of Buchanan said, "When the sun is out it just makes me feel happier and a lot better."
Rowe was also out enjoying the break from harsh winter weather.
This time of year is when people usually get suffer from winter blues, due to to the dark clouds, wind and snow that accompany winter weather.
Most feel trapped in their homes or workplaces during winter. However, when the sun begins to shine, it's like a wake up call that gets them going again.
Adams was shopping in downtown Niles at Veni's Sweet Shop on Tuesday.
Stemm was shopping at Majerek's in downtown Niles.
Niles area residents have more nice weather to look forward to over the next few days, said WNDU Channel 16 meteorologist Cindi Clawson. The weather for the remainder of the week looks to follow in Tuesday's footsteps
Storm Team 16 predictions look to be right on the money, as the groundhog Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today in Punxsutawney, Pa., when he came out of his burrow. Seeing his shadow means that we are looking at six more weeks of winter weather.
