Vikings fall short in Kalamazoo to Maroon Giants

KALAMAZOO CENTRAL-Niles lost another close game Tuesday night against Kalamazoo Central 64-61.
The Vikings were led by Tom Robson who had 19 points, which included five three pointers.
Nick Etzcorn was back in the line up for the Vikings scoring 10 points and adding five rebounds. Brandon Thomas and Kelby Jemison also had five rebounds.
The Vikings commited 25 turnovers in the game.
Niles attempted to make a three pointer with one second left that would have sent them into overtime, but the shot was unsuccessful.
The Vikings JV and freshmen teams also suffered losses to Kalamazoo Central Tuesday.
The Vikings take on Sturgis at home Friday night. Game time begins at 7:30 p.m.

Brandywine's basketball team was defeated by Bridgeman Tuesday night 68-37 in Lakeland Conference play. The loss now brings the Bobcats to 0-7 in the conference 1-11 overall. Bridgman now stands in a three way tie with a 6-1 record (see related article).
Adam Prescott gave the Bobcats 13 points for the night. DJ Elrod brought in nine and Justin Ely had six for Brandywine.
Craig McNees had 20 points for Bridgman. Tyler Weaver had 15 and Dan Kunde had 10.
Brandywine hosts River Valley Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
