LANSING - Members of the 93rd Legislature today began their terms in office after being sworn into office by Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Clifford W. Taylor.
House members, including Nitz participated in a ceremonial oath-of-office with House Clerk Gary Randall. Rep. Nitz was joined on the House floor by his sister Nancy Koebel and family friend Larry Klug.
The Legislature will reconvene on Jan. 27. Until then committee assignments will be made and members will take advantage of the time away from Lansing to listen to community concerns and craft legislative priorities for the next two years.
