NILES - A Niles police officer collided with another car at Fifth and Sycamore in Niles Thursday night.
Only minor injuries were suffered in the crash.
Lt. Scott Glick of the City of Niles Police Department was responding to a domestic violence call when the accident ocurred.
Glick and the driver of the other vehicle were treated and released from Lakeland Hospital, Niles.
City police officials asked Michigan State Police to investigate the accident. State Police called in an accident scene investigator.
That investigation is ongoing, said Niles City Police Chief Ric Huff.
