Buchanan beat Berrien Springs on the strength of its heavier weight classes Wednesday. The victory moves the Bucks to 6-1 this season.
The Shamrocks won five of the first nine weight classes, but Buchanan won by pin in four of the final five divisions, taking the meet 48-31. It was the Bucks' home opener and first single dual meet of the season.
Nick Wheetley at 119 pounds, Travis Reith at 130, Auston Ferris at 160, Jim Connors at 189, Ryan Harrington at 215 and Ryan Carrigan at 275 all recorded pins.
