CASSOPOLIS - Cass County Emergency Management monitored power outages that affected residents in Pokagon, Jefferson, Howard, LaGrange, Wayne, Penn, Silver Creek, Porter and Newberg townships.
Cass County Emergency Management continued to urge residents in affected areas to check on elderly friends and neighbors, or those with compromising health conditions, to help insure their immediate well-being. 
Should outages continue in these areas for an extended period, stay tuned to area television and radio stations for updates on emergency procedures and the availability of emergency services.
Those with immediate health concerns should call 9-1-1.
Dispatchers will address emergency issues and/or forward calls to Emergency Management.
