Vikings face Knights in SMAC second round

The second round of the Big 16 Conference Soccer Tournament will be held on Tuesday.
The Niles Vikings, the top seed in the Black Tournament, will host Kalamazoo Loy Norrix in the second round on Tuesday.
Niles defeated No. 8 seed Benton Harbor, 10-0, while Loy Norrix blanked Coldwater, 3-0.
Also in the second round, Sturgis will travel to Kalamazoo Central.
Kalamazoo Central won 4-0 over Battle Creek Central. Sturgis edged Battle Creek Harper Creek, 3-2. If Niles defeats the Knights, it will host the winner of the Kalamazoo Central-Battle Creek Central game.
Benton Harbor will travel to Coldwater on Tuesday, while Harper Creek will host Battle Creek Central.
Dowagiac, which was blanked by St. Joseph 5-0 in the opening round, will travel to Mattawan for the second round contest.
The Chieftains are the No. 8 seed in the Silver Tournament.
Mattawan lost to Portage Central in the opening round, 2-0.
In other second round games, St. Joseph, the No. 1 seed, will host Portage Central, while Portage Northern will travel to No. 2 seeded Battle Creek Lakeview.
Portage Northern defeated Marshall in the first round, 5-0, while Battle Creek Lakeview defeated Lakeshore, 3-0.
The Lancers and Redskins will play at Marshall on Tuesday.
The finals are scheduled for Thursday.
