For the second game in a row, Niles' soccer team played 30 extra minutes, but still couldn't decide a winner. The Vikings played to a 1-1 tie in double-overtime Thursday at Edwardsburg.
It was Niles' second tie of the season, both coming in a three-day span. The Vikings tied St. Joseph 1-1 in double-overtime at home Tuesday.
Niles scored first at the 29:58 mark. Danny Rodts kicked in a rebound goal to put the Vikings up 1-0. Edwardsburg's Doug Shuttleworth scored five minutes later off an assist from Chris Hayes to pull even.
The two then played 75 minutes of scoreless soccer. The Vikings and Eddies each had 11 shots on goal.
