Niles and Dowagiac battle to 4-4 tie

On Monday, Niles split a Big 16 Conference West Division match with host Dowagiac, 4-4.
Dowagiac swept the doubles matches, losing just seven games, while the Lady Vikings swept the doubles matches.
While the Chieftans won all four singles matches in straight sets, Niles pulled the same feat in the doubles matches, sweeping the four flights
The Vikings' No. 2 doubles team of Samantha Beck and Danielle Lowrey proved particularly dominating with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout.
For Dowagiac, No. 1 singles player Lisa Rubino had the biggest victory, winning 6-1, 6-0 over Niles' Annalee Nelson.
Niles faces St. Joseph at home Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
