Bucks golfers place sixth

Buchanan golfer Nathan Layher finished one stroke off the medalist pace at Tuesday's Coloma Jamboree. His 43 wasn't enough, though, as the Bucks finished sixth at the Lakeland Conference tournament.
Host Coloma won the jamboree with a team total of 173, including a 42 from co-medalist James Bradshaw.
Bradshaw shared first-place honors with Edwardsburg's Ryan Stoneburner. The Eddies took second with 179.
Brandywine took eighth in the jamboree, led by Justin Ely with a 48.
Rounding out the scoring for Buchanan were Andrew Colip with 47, Scott Lolmaugh with 50, Matt Adams and Jeremy Bachman each with 53 and Brian Lembke with 55.
For Brandywine, Cody Millee shot a 49, Joe Sobierski a 50, Billy McDonald a 52 and Chris Rose a 52.
