The Michigan District 15 7-8 year-old Little League Tournament is scheduled to begin at sites around southwestern Michigan on July 27.
South Portage No. 1 will travel to Niles to take on the Niles F.O.P. All-Stars on opening night at 7.
In other opening night contests, West Portage No. 2 will travel to Mattawan to take on Mattawan No. 1. That game will also begin at 7 p.m.
Dowagiac will be on the road for the opening night as it heads to Schoolcraft for a 7 p.m. contest.
The tournament will continue with pool play through Aug. 6. The championship round of the tournament, which will be held at Dowagiac's Russom Field will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7.
The championship game will be held at 1 p.m. with the third place game begin played at 11 a.m.
Pool A consists of Dowagiac, Niles F.O.P., South Portage No. 1, West Portage No. 2, Mattawan No. 1, Schoolcraft and Three Rivers.
Pool B consists of South Portage No. 2, West Portage No. 1, Mattawan No. 2, Eastwood, Vicksburg and Galesburg Augusta.
