Knights advance to brackets in World Series

After going 2-1 in pool play in the Little League World Series, the Niles Knights are headed to the bracket play portion of the tournament.
In Game 1 Niles shut out the Inola (Okla.) Titans 6-0. Jamie Simpson got the win for Niles giving up two hits and striking out five.
Adam Miller came on in the sixth inning for the save. Simpson led Knight batters, going 2-for-3 with a triple. Keith Prak was also 2-for-3.
Game 2 pitted Niles against the Lincoln (Neb.) Rebels. The Knights lost 2-3 in the bottom of the ninth. Knights' starter Jake Harris allowed one hit in six innings and left the game tied at 2-2 in the seventh.
Alex Welch was 2-for-5 for Niles, including a triple. Jamie Simpson, Adam Miller, Keith Prak and Harris also had two hits apiece.
In Game 3 the Knight got a 10-6 win over the Central Illinois Cannons to advance. Adam Miller won the game for Niles and Nick Fedore got a save.
Kyle Prak and Simpson both tripled for the Knights. Also getting hits were Alex Welch, Miller and Keith Prak.
The Knights now advance to bracket play on Wednesday with teams and times to be announced.
