F.O.P. Little League All-Star teams open play at Hartford Tournament

A pair of Niles F.O.P. Little League All-Star teams began play in the Hartford Tournament over the weekend.
The F.O.P. 9-year-old All-Stars beat Benton Harbor 8-7 in a back-and-forth contest. F.O.P. scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to win the game.
Mitchell Dehn and Derek Scott each hit a double and two singles to lead the F.O.P All-Stars. Kevin Hatcher added a triple and a double while Connor Glick hit three singles and Ethan Zimmerman hit two singles. Evan Hartman, Alex Wright, Maris Marazita and Skylar Kimblee each hit one single.
The 9-year-olds return to action at Hartford on Friday at 6 p.m. against the winner of the game between Lakeshore and Coloma.
The F.O.P 7-8 year-old All-Stars dropped an 11-7 decision to Coloma in the first round of play at Hartford. No further details were available.
