CASSOPOLIS -- A vehicle overturned Saturday afternoon on Middle Crossing Road near Marke Street in Silver Creek Township, injuring a Dowagiac man.
Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his deputies handled the personal-injury accident at 3:44 p.m. June 19.
According to witnesses, the vehicle, driven by Daniel Repoza, 33, of Dowagiac, was northbound on Middle Crossing, just past Marke, when he ran off the roadway to the right, overturned his car and struck a tree.
Repoza was taken to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Seatbelts were not worn at the time of the accident. Alcohol appears to be a factor. The accident remains under investigation.
Dowagiac ambulance, Dowagiac police, and Indian Lake, Sister Lakes and Dowagiac fire personnel assisted deputies at the scene.
