Ranger baseball team tops Beavers, Gaels

The Cassopolis varsity baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Eau Claire and a single game from Galien in recent action.
Against Eau Claire, the Rangers won 15-0 and 13-1.
Both games were decided by the mercy rule.
In the Galien contest, Cassopolis won 11-4 in five innings.
Jason Rieveld and Justin Lee both homered for the Rangers in the first game against Eau Claire.
In the second game, John Solloway and Andre Broussard both homered.
Solloway picked up the victory in the opening game against the Beavers with Broussard earning the victory in the nightcap.
Against Galien, Rietveld was the winning pitcher.
Kenny Brown homered for the Rangers, who will play on Saturday at home in the districts.
