NILES -- As summer approaches, schools are kicking it into high gear as the last few weeks of school are here.
The final day for Niles Community Schools is June 4, which will be a half day for all schools. Niles High School and Cedar Lane Alternative High School will also have half days on June 2 and 3. The preschool classes at Northside will finish up a little earlier than everyone else with their final day of the school year on Thursday.
The last day for Brandywine Public Schools will be a half day on June 9.

The first day of school for the 2004-2005 school year for Niles Community Schools is scheduled for August 30. Brandywine Public Schools has not yet determined its first day of school for next year.
