Two youths look for place to stay

On May 13, Niles City Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Oak Street for a breaking and entering in progress.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they found two juveniles in the unoccupied apartment.
The police report states the juveniles entered the apartment when they found that one of the doors had been left unlocked.
When asked what they were doing in the apartment, the juveniles allegedly stated that they did not have any other place to stay.
The two boys were transported to the Niles City Jail and booked.
They were later turned over to their guardians.
According to the police report, the driver, Curtis Lee Jann, 35, of 2269 Monterey in Niles, smelled of intoxicants and marijuana.
The officer could also see several open containers of alcohol on the floorboard of the vehicle.
Jann was arrested for an OWI and transporting open containers.
The passenger, Lucas A. Corbett, 19, of 2269 Monterey in Niles, was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol and for having an open container in a motor vehicle.
