The Niles junior varsity softball team improved its record to 6-8 by sweeping a doubleheader at Battle Creek Lakeview Thursday evening with wins of 13-1 and 13-3.
Cara Frucci pitched for both victories and led the Vikings at the plate with four doubles.
Annalee Nelson and Sarah Martin each doubled and hit multiple singles. Jessica Brann, Casey Gogley, Stephanie Conrad and Kerri Shuler also had hits for Niles.
The Niles junior varsity will play in the Brandywine Invitational today.
