Niles Township Police make arrests, recover cache of weapons, ammunition

NILES -- On Saturday, Niles Township Police officers were dispatched to 242 Roberts St. for a complaint that automatic gunfire was coming from the back of the house.
Officers made contact with the subjects at the residence and searched the house. Several weapons were recovered from the home including an AK-47 assault rifle, SKS assault rifle, a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun with pistol grip, five other guns and ammunition.
Michael Dustin Wolford, 19, of 242 Roberts St. in Niles, was arrested for being a felon in possession of firearm.
Luis Guilliemo Briones, 18, of 3103 Western in South Bend, Ind., was arrested for disturbing the peace.
April Jean McMillen, 19, of 606 Falcon in South Bend, Ind., and Marci Lynn Kandzierski, 19, of 2415 W. Ford in South Bend, Ind. were cited for being minors in consumption of alcohol.

The rolls were left inside the hospital and were taken sometime over the weekend.
The owner of the property indicated that someone had broke into his rental unit and stole the washer and dryer.
According to the police report, the rear door appeared to be kicked in.
The report also states that all of the hoses and connections to the washer and dryer were carefully removed and the water to the washer had been shut off prior to its removal.
No fingerprints could be found at the scene and there are no suspects at this time.
