Kelsey Gordon's three first place finishes and a second place effort were not enough for the Lady Rangers to overcome visiting Edwardsburg and River Valley Wednesday afternoon.
Edwardsburg defeated Cassopolis, 76-45, while River Valley posted a 65-58 victory. Edwardsburg defeated River Valley, 78-48.
Edwardsburg also defeated Cassopolis (75-53) and River Valley (97-29) in the boy's portion of the Lakeland Conference meet. The Rangers defeated River Valley, 75-34.
For Edwardsburg, Mallory Jodway and Emily Gunn both won two events.
Jodway won the 100- and 300-meter hurdles, while Gunn captured the 1,600- and 3,200-meters.
On the boy's side of the meet, David Daniels won the 110-meter high hurdles as well as the 300-meter intermediate hurdles.
Edwardsburg's James Greenfield captured the 1,600- and 3,200-meters.
Individually, E.J. Harris and Kirk Baucom were double winners. Harris won the 100- and 200-meters, while Baucom won the shot put and discus.
