The Buchanan junior varsity tennis team opened its season with a clean sweep of the Eau Claire varsity team Monday.
The Bucks swept all eight matches and did not lose more than three games in any set.
Josh Demeulenaere beat Eau Claire's Phil Patterson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Zach Hoetger beat Jordan Harris 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Mario Bonardi beat Joe Spavey 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and Dillon Bailey beat Brett Francis 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
The Buchanan No. 1 doubles team of Justin Lovelady and Stephen Mace beat Jim Lucas and Wayne Davis 6-2, 6-3. Nick Blohm and Fadzai Kangira beat David Gould and Cory Disterfelt 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Andrew Scoggin and David Wright beat Jim Haskins and Michael Early 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 doubles. Matt Sebasty and Andrew Frederick beat Jon Hopkins and Tim Early 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 doubles.
