Ringler, Reith win in first round of Division 4 Individual Wrestling Finals

Brandywine's Adam Ringler and Buchanan's Travis Reith each won their first-round matches at the Division 4 Individual State Wrestling Finals Thursday at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Ringler beat Tony Pegley of Freeland 9-6 in the 145-pound weight class. Ringler now will face Josh Woodcock of Manton.
Reith beat Luis Adame of Ithaca 10-0 in the 112-pound weight class. He advances to meet Lloyd Miller of Whittemore-Prescott.
Brandywine's Mike Morrison lost his first match in the 112-pound weight class. He suffered a 7-0 decision to Kyle Weisenberger of New Lothrop. He will now face Chris Brownlee of Michigan Center.
