Niles police seek suspect in hit-and-run accident

NILES -- On March 6 at about 6 p.m., Niles City Police investigated a hit and run personal injury accident at the intersection of Silverbrook Avenue and Third Street.
The suspect is an unknown white female with long dark hair. She was driving a dark green or black Saturn car.
The suspect turned southeast onto Silverbrook in front of another car and was struck in the rear passenger side causing unknown damage.
The suspect stopped and got out of the car and then left the scene east bound on Silverbrook Avenue. The vehicle has an unknown Indiana license plate.
The other driver was taken to Lakeland Hospital, where she was treated and released for a busted lip and neck pains.

According to the police report, the officer waited for the suspect to leave and made a traffic stop on his vehicle.
Adams, 23, of 1525 Huron St. in Niles, was arrested for the warrants of illegal entry, fleeing and eluding police and driving with a suspended license.
