Niles-Buchanan Gators fare well at State Meet

Several members of the Niles-Buchanan YMCA Gators swim team took part in the YMCA State Championship Meet on Feb. 21-22 at Forest Hills High School in Grand Rapids.
T.J. Polega finished ninth in the 9-10 Boys 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:35.82. He also took 12th place in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:11.3 and 14th in he 50-meter backstroke with a time of 38.7.
Caitlin Dippo finished 17th in the 9-10 Girls 50-meter breaststroke with her time of 42.52.
Emily Mills took 23rd place in the 9-10 Girls 50-meter backstroke with a time of 40.04.
Megan Curry finished 24th in the 13-14 Girls 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:21.26.
Lindsey McCarty finished 27th in the 11-12 Girls 50-meter backstroke with a time of 34.82.
Amanda Harlow came in 28th in the 9-10 Girls 50-meter backstroke with her time of 40.41.
Harlow, Dippo, Sarah Polega and Mills finished 18th in the 10 and Under Girls medley relay with a time of 2:45.43. They also finished 19th in the freestyle relay with a time of 2:31.04.
