The Edwardsburg varsity volleyball team finished second at the River Valley Invitational on Saturday.
The Lady Eddies lost to host River Valley in the finals, 20-25 and 25-27. Rally scoring was used throughout the tournament.
In pool play Edwardsburg defeated New Buffalo (25-9, 25-5), Eau Claire (25-17, 25-23) and split with the Lady Mustangs (25-14, 11-25).
In the quarterfinals the Lady Eddies defeated Bridgman, 25-20 and 25-13. In the semifinals the Lady Eddies topped Coloma, 18-25, 25-17 and 15-9.
Statistically the Lady Eddies got 75 assists, 13 kills, two blocks and 54 digs from Sarah Lange. Shana Stoops finished with six assists, 17 points, seven aces, 22 kills and 66 digs.
Shelley Roberts contributed 32 points, 12 aces and 29 digs. Kate Habicht finished with 23 points, four aces, 26 kills, three blocks and 52 digs. Jessica Rafalski added 22 points, four aces, 24 kills and seven blocks.
Megan Moyer had 17 points, eight aces and 23 digs. Kelli Kretchman had 12 points, five aces and 22 digs, while Joanna Martino had 11 kills and two blocks.
