Chamber plans Cassopolis Days

CASSOPOLIS -- Members of the Cassopolis/Vandalia Chamber of Commerce elected a Board of Directors and chose officers last Wednesday at its February meeting at Midwest Energy.
Fred Stein retained chairmanship with Brian Wierenga of Green Brothers accepting vicechair. Ginger Luxenberger was elected secretary and Brian Wolski of Midwest, treasurer.
Plans are already underway to set up committees for Cassopolis Days which last year featured a parade, car show, karaoke contest, blues concert and gospel fest.
Dues are presently being collected for this year's membership in the chamber and new members sought.
Additional members of the Board of Directors include: Eileen Crouse, Southwestern Michigan College; Dr. John Hayman, Cassopolis Dental; Leonard Kanczuzewski; Shirley Lee; Joe Mashni, of Lee Memorial Medical Group, Cassopolis; Steve Saltzman, business developer; Dino Signore, of the Edwards Lowe Foundation; and Sandy Swenor, of The Home Group.
Meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Midwest Energy Cooperative, 901 State Street, Cassopolis.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 17.
