The Niles varsity volleyball team celebrated Senior Night Monday and did so in a big way.
The Vikings earned a 7-15, 15-13, 15-4 win over River Valley, a team they had lost to in the championship match of the New Buffalo Invitational earlier this season.
Niles seniors Sandy Molnar, Rachael Every, Ashton Parks, Ashley Spriggs and Mary Deka were honored and contributed in different ways.
Deka paced the Vikings with 11 kills in addition to one block and one dig. Molnar had 25 assists, two digs, one block, one ace and one kill. Every had seven kills and three digs. Parks helped out with four digs and two aces. Spriggs had two kills.
Niles also got seven kills and three digs from Sarah Dreher and five kills, five digs and one ace from Amber Peters.
Kaylee Bonner added seven digs and two aces.
Niles, now 17-15-11 on the year, is off until Wednesday, Feb. 18, when it travels to a Big 16 Conference crossover match with an opponent from the East Division.
