LMC pulls away from Kellogg in second half

Former Niles standout Desmond Favors led the Lake Michigan College men's basketball team to a 67-58 win over Michigan Community College Athletic Association foe Kellogg Wednesday night.
Favors had a team-high 15 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists.
The Indians, now 9-6 overall and 2-1 in league play, led by just two points at halftime.
The game was a reunion for some former Cassopolis players. While former Rangers Anthony Curry, Joe Alford and Derrick Outlaw each play on the LMC team, Rodney Lee plays for Kellogg (4-11, 0-3).
Curry had seven points for the Indians and Lee scored six for Kellogg.
Niles graduate Adam Shepherdson had 11 points for the Indians and Michael Busby added 10.
Derrick Sayers, a Battle Creek Lakeview graduate, led all scorers with 22 points for Kellogg.
