Buchanan debuts at No. 10 in first statewide poll

The Buchanan varsity basketball team received some early recognition from those who determine team rankings throughou the state of Michigan.
The Bucks, 4-0 on the year, debuted at No. 10 in Class C in the first statewide poll released by the Associated Press today.
Buchanan hosts Marcellus tonight in a non-conference game.
Sophomore Jordan Lee and junior Gordon Bryant are the Bucks' leading scorers at 11.3 and 11 points per game, respectively. Buchanan is 2-0 in Lakeland Conference play.
Other area teams included in the first statewide poll include Battle Creek Central (Honorable mention Class A), Marshall (No. 3 Class B), Lakeshore (Honorable mention Class B), Three Rivers (Honorable mentino Class B), Kalamazoo Christian (No. 3 Class C) and Michigan Lutheran (Honorable mention Class D).
