The Faith United Methodist Church in Buchanan held a non-denominational evening of Christmas music and praise on Saturday night.
The church hosts these music filled programs on the last Saturday of every month.
Kay Jorgensen, who is responsible for organizing these events, said "it is basically an all music prayer and worship service."
The evening began with a short prayer and then launched into a few classic Christmas hymns.
Singers Jorgensen and Andrea Myers were accompanied by Darlene Davis on the piano for "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "Go Tell It on the Mountain."
This was followed by a solo from Davis on the piano and vocal solos from Myers, Jorgensen, and Brandi Narregan.
The hour long program finished with some extra time to cover a few Christmas favorites of the audience's choice.
Next month, the musical evening will feature the well known Balos Family on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.
The musically talented family is made up of father, mother, and five children ranging from 5 to 15 years old. They sing and play instruments such as guitar and violin.
In April, the church will host another family band called "No Greater Love" from Goshen, Ind.
In June, they will welcome "Bought and Paid For," winner of the best musical group of 2002 from the Michigan Gospel Association.
