Buchanan varsity basketball coach Reid McBeth must have said the right things at halftime of his team's game Saturday night at Lake Michigan Catholic.
Trailing 24-18 at the intermission, the Bucks outscored LMC 34-14 in the second half for a 52-38 victory, improving to 2-0 on the season.
Buchanan held the Lakers to just four points in the third quarter to take a 32-28 lead into the final period where the Bucks doubled LMC's 10-point effort.
Tony Robinson led Buchanan with 15 points and Jordan Lee added 13 points. Those two were the only double-figure scorers for the Bucks, but six other players scored.
Sean Heenan led LMC with a game-high 17 points.
Buchanan hosts Brandywine Tuesday night in the first Lakeland Conference game for both squads. The Bobcats are 1-2 on the season.
