Lake Michigan College improves record to 6-3

The Lake Michigan College men's basketball team outscored the Cornerstone junior varsity 31-27 in the second half to secure a 75-67 victory Wednesday night.
LMC improved to 6-3 and returns to action Saturday at home against the Hope junior varsity at 3 p.m.
Niles graduate Adam Shepherdson was LMC's leading scorer with 17 points. Niles graduate Corey Thacker added 12 points and eight rebounds while Cassopolis graduate Anthony Curry scored 10 points to go along with eight assist and four steals.
Former Niles player Desmond Favors also helped out with 10 points.

A United States Soccer Federation beginners' referee course is scheduled to begin Feb. 26, 2004 at Lakeshore Middle School in Stevensville.
The course will be held on five successive Thursdays between 6-9 p.m. in Room 107.
Those who successfully complete the course will become members of the Southwest Michigan Soccer Referees' Association.
Adults who complete this course will also be eligible to officiate games for the Michigan High School Athletic Association, Tri-County Soccer League and West Michigan Soccer League. The cost of the class is $50, which includes one-year membership in the Southwest Michigan Referees' Association.
