Village Hall occupancy coming soon

CASSOPOLIS -- Halloween brings a special treat to the officials of the Village of Cassopolis. oct. 31 is the day the transition will be made to the Village's new Cassopolis Municipal Building.
The Standard Federal Bank will still be occupying space on the first floor, with the Cassopolis Police Department and Village administration on the second floor.
A drop off at the drive through will eventually be in operation for water and sewer payments.
Telephone numbers will remain unchanged.
The Village Council will meet for the first time in the new chambers at the Monday, Nov. 10th meeting at 7 p.m.
A ribbon cutting and open house is being planned for later in the month, Thursday, Nov. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m., the board decided on Monday.
The parking lot repairs and refinishing is hoped to be finished before the Nov. 15 completion date. There will be a safer sidewalk for those cross Rowland toward Tony's Talk of the Town, the Village Manager Art Sciorra added.
In other business:
Next Wednesday representatives of the board will attend the LaGrange Township meeting on Oct. 22, Sciorra said, as talks continue on resolving the fire protection conflicts.
