The Dowagiac boys' basketball staff will be heading up a boys basketball camp.
Due to conflicts, the camp will be moved back one week.
Program participants will be divided into teams and play six league games. There will be a third/fourth grade league and a fifth/sixth grade league.
This league will not only be designed to play games but to also learn the fundamentals of the game.
Coach Greg Blomgren and his staff will spend 30-40 minutes at the beginning of each session teaching players a new skill before they play their league game.
The league will begin Oct. 28. All dates are on Tuesday and Thursday for three consecutive weeks. Other dates are Oct. 30, along with Nov. 4, Nov. 6, Nov. 11 and Nov. 13.
Session times are 5-6 p.m. for third and fourth graders, and 6-7 p.m. fifth and sixth graders.
The games will be held at Southwestern Michigan College's Zollar Sports Center.
The cost is $15 per player. Fee includes a T-shirt.
Deadline for registering is Oct. 24. Registration forms are available at the elementary schools.
For more information contact Blomgren at 684-4572 (home) or 782-4432 (work).
