Bank robbery suspect in custody

NILES -- Police have arrested the suspect in the Oct. 3 robbery of Fifth Third Bank located 322 Broadway St. in Niles.
Niles City Police said Jonathan Earl Wallace, 43, 1615 N. Fifth St, Apt. No 104 B, was quickly identified as a suspect after the robbery.
Wallace was taken into custody by the Chicago Police Department on a warrant out of Niles City Police Department around 11 p.m. on Oct. 10.
The city police are waiting for an extradition hearing and are expecting Wallace to be returned to Berrien County where he will face charges for the robbery.
The hearing times are unknown and it is unknown when Wallace will return to Berrien County.
In other police reports:
Jess Hart Treiber, 26, 1226 Thomson Road, Niles, was arrested after police officers pulled him over for driving with an expired registration tab in the 100 block of Lake Street, the police report said.
While doing a search on Treiber, police found out that he had a warrant out for his arrest from the Cass County Sheriff's Department.
Treiber was issued a traffic citation for the expired registration and no proof of insurance.
He was arrested on the warrant of child neglect and turned into the custody of Cass County Sheriff's Department deputies at Eastgate Shopping Center in Niles.
Paul Duane Harrison Sr., 37, 1124 N. Ninth St., Niles, was arrested after officers went to the above mentioned address in an attempt to locate Harrison on a valid assault and battery misdemeanor warrant from the Niles City Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers were allegedly allowed to search the house.
The officers located Harrison in the basement. He was arrested and transported to the Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged with a $2,500 bond.
Donald Garrett Wisner Sr., 39, 816 Grant St., Apt. No. 6, Niles, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the area of North Third Street for what appeared to be a "man down," the police report said.
Upon arrival to the location, the officers located Wisner lying on his stomach.
Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service was on-site and attempted to wake up Wisner Sr.
When they managed to get Wisner on his feet, he allegedly became un-cooperative and was first arrested for disturbing the peace.
The officers then checked Wisners' pockets, in which they allegedly found several smoking pipes both for marijuana and meth-amphetamine.
Wisner was arrested and transported to Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged with no bond.
Carlos Moreu Lorenzo, 36. 71 N. State St., Niles was arrested after a police officer patrolling in the 300 block of Huron St saw a vehicle not using the turn signal when turning north bound onto S. Third St., the police report said.
The officer pulled the vehicle over for a traffic violation.
Upon searching Lorenzo's sweat shirt, the officer located what appeared to be equipment used to smoke crack cocaine.
Lorenzo was placed under arrest and transported to the Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged with no bond.
