Police ID robbery suspect

By By JAN GRIFFEY / Niles Daily Star
NILES -- Niles City Police have identified a suspect in Friday's robbery at Fifth Third Bank on Broadway in Niles.
The suspect is identified as Jonathan Earl Wallace, a black male, 44, of 1615 N. Fifth St., Apt. 104-B, Niles.
A press release issued by Niles City Police Chief Ric Huff said evidence left at the scene enabled Niles Police detectives to positively identify Wallace as the suspect responsible for the robbery.
Police say information they have received lead them to think Wallace is driving a 1989 maroon Buick 2-door sedan with Michigan registration WJH 546. The police department has a photo of the vehicle, taken during a previous complaint involving Wallace.
Wallace has not been seen at his residence since Oct. 3 and police seek help from citizens in locating him.
Those with information are asked to call the Niles Police Department at 683-1313 or the Niles Police Department's Detective Bureau at 683-0404.
