River Valley wins Lakeland golf jamboree at Bridgman, Coloma leads league

River Valley took first place in Tuesday's Lakeland Conference golf jamboree hosted by Bridgman at Pebblewood Country Club.
The Mustangs turned in a team score of 153 to easily outdistance the competition. Coloma finished second with 160 while Buchanan took third with 161 and Edwarsburg finished fourth with 164. Bridgman took fifth place with 167, Brandywine took sixth with 169 and Cassopolis finished seventh with 171. Berrien Springs rounded out the field with a score of 172.
Coloma maintains the lead in the overall league standings with 29 points. River Valley is in second with 26. Buchanan is currently in third place with 21 points while Brandywine is fourth with 17. Bridgman and Edwardsburg are tied for fifth with 16 points each. Cassopolis is seventh with 14 points and Berrien Springs is eighth with five points.
River Valley's Seth Zombory was the meet medalist Tuesday with a score of 37.
Justin Sobecki and Josh Dickeson led Brandywine as each shot 41. Alex Newman turned in a score of 43 while Joe Sobieralski and Justin Ely each shot 44. Mike Beauchamp shot 45.
Andrew Colip led Buchanan with a score of 38. Nathan Layher shot 39 and David Christy shot 41. Jeremy Bachman shot 43, Matt Adams shot 49 and Justin Lovelady shot 50.
